Elevator Block Mounting Examples
Elevator Corner Bearing Block with Tube Plug
The following examples illustrate some easy mounting solutions for the Elevator Corner Bearing Block using minimal additional hardware. These configurations are designed to simplify integration into a variety of robot designs.
Basic Tube Mounting
The Elevator Corner Bearing Block can be mounted using four #10-32 x 1/4"L bolts inserted through the clearance holes in the Punched Tubing and secured into any two of the three #10-32 Tapped holes on each side of the block. These holes follow the standard 1/2" Pitch Spacing, making it a perfect fit for Punched Tubing and other common FRC components.
Corner Mounting
The Elevator Corner Bearing Block can also be used to easily build or integrate structures, as shown in the two examples below. This is done by taking the basic tube mounting method described above and adding the desired number of WCP Tube Plugs along with 2" x 1" punched tubing to create a strong, versatile structure for your robot design. These holes follow the standard 1/2" Pitch Spacing, making it a perfect fit for Punched Tubing and other common FRC components.
When mounting a WCP Tube Plug to the top of the Corner Bearing Block, the #10-32 tapped holes on the Tube Plugs must be drilled out.
The bolts are intended to be installed through the Tube Plug and thread intothe Bearing Block.
Elevator Corner Bearing Block
The following examples illustrate some easy mounting solutions for the Elevator Corner Bearing Block using minimal additional hardware. These configurations are designed to simplify integration into a variety of robot designs.
Basic Tube Mounting
The Elevator Corner Bearing Block can be mounted using six #10-32 x 3/8"L bolts inserted through the clearance holes in the Punched Tubing and secured into the #10-32 Tapped holes on each side of the WCP Tube Plug. These holes follow the standard 1/2" Pitch Spacing, making it a perfect fit for Punched Tubing and other common FRC components.
Corner Mounting
The Top Hat Elevator Block can also be used to easily build or integrate structures, as shown in the two examples below. Clamping Bearing Block
The WCP Clamping Block is compatible with the 2x1 Tubing.
The Bearing Block must be bolted together using a bolt from each side using two #10-32 x 2.5”L Bolts.
Inline Clamping Bearing Block
The WCP Inline Clamping Bearing Block is compatible with the 2x1 Aluminum Tube Plug (WCP-2067). This is ideal for the corners of an elevator carriage or the bottom tube connections for any intermediate elevator stages.
The #10-32 x 1.5”L Bolts will sit in the pockets on top of the Dowel Pin.
Inline Bearing Block
The WCP Elevator Block is compatible with the 2x1 Aluminum Tube Plug (WCP-2067). This is ideal for the corners of an elevator carriage or the bottom tube connections for any intermediate elevator stages.
The Aluminum Tube Plug and Elevator Block must be bolted together before step two. The #10-32 x 3/4”L Bolts will sit in the 3/8” ID pocket underneath the Dowel Pin.
