Step 9

Install the Hex Encoder Hat using the #10-32 x 5/8"L Bolts. The step at the bottom of the Encoder Hat should sit flat with the 74T Main Rotation Gear.

Refer to the Ratio Options page for the correct Drive Gear for your selected ratio.

Step 10

Slide all gears and shafts into position.

Note that WCP-1614 and WCP-1615 come as a single unit pre-pressed together. This will be in the WCP-1614 packaging.

Step 11

Mount the ThroughBore Encoder onto the assembly from Step 3 using the #10-32 x 5/8"L Bolt and #10-32 Nut. The nut pocket in the ThroughBore Encoder housing will hold the #10-32 nut in place, so a 3/8" wrench is not required.

This can be mounted to the right or left side of the module. We recommend planning this ahead of time based on wire routing, desired location of the zero of the encoder, and any other considerations you may have.

Mount the motors onto the Motor Plate as shown below.
