# Elevator Block Mounting

The new Tube Plug hole pattern is designed to enable simple customization and streamline assembly when used with compatible accessories, such as the new WCP Elevator Blocks. The following sections demonstrate how these components can be combined to create simple, robust robot superstructures.

## Basic Corner Mounting

The Tube Plugs can be used to create a clean and robust corner connection for an elevator. This can be done in one of two ways: by installing a bolt through the Elevator Block and into the Tube Plug, or by drilling out the Tube Plug’s #10-32 tapped holes and using the Elevator Block’s built-in Nut Pocket for fastening. Both methods are shown below.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If the Nut Pocket feature is going to be used, the nut must be inserted into the designated pocket before the dowel pins are installed.

## Advanced Corner Mounting

{% hint style="warning" %}
When mounting a WCP Tube Plug to the top of the Corner Bearing Block, the #10-32 tapped holes on the Tube Plugs **must** be drilled out.

The bolts are intended to be installed through the Tube Plug and thread into the Bearing Block.
