# SplineXL Bearing Blocks

## Clamping Features

### 1" and 2" Clamping

All Clamping Bearing Blocks are sized to clamp around any box tube that is 1" or 2" tall. In order to clamp around 1" tall tube, the blocks must be rotated onto their side as shown in the image below.

## SplineXL Bore ID

All Clamping Bearing Blocks have a SplineXL ID. This means it is compatible with the WCP SplineXL Tube (WCP-0918).

<figure><img src="https://860767938-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FAh7kNj2G3b1j9BJvKAXk%2Fuploads%2FUe3R1FOwFnAbrkLIPIBi%2FBearing%20Block%20-%20SplineXL%20Bore.svg?alt=media&amp;token=bbd49a7c-3326-4ce6-bb1f-8f4266e3ba53" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## C-Bores

### Bearing Flange C-Bore

All Clamping Bearing Blocks come with a 1.4" OD x 0.0625" deep c-bore that can be used to trap the flanges of bearings or bushings.

{% hint style="info" %}
This feature is only compatible with bearings/bushings that are 1.125" OD, with a flange that is smaller than 1.4", and no thicker than 0.0625".
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://860767938-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FAh7kNj2G3b1j9BJvKAXk%2Fuploads%2F82PMxk3e3xsTEDzy0lmC%2FBearing%20Block%20-%20Bearing%20Flange.svg?alt=media&amp;token=cd483837-a6e4-4585-9482-979b7974d8e2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Bolt C-Bore

The 2.5" width Clamping Bearing Blocks (WCP-0592 and WCP-0593) both come with two 0.375" OD x .125" deep c-bores that can be used to bolt parts directly to the block.

{% hint style="info" %}
This feature is only compatible with #10-32 Button Head Bolts.
{% endhint %}

### Center Drop

Two blocks (WCP-0591 and WCP-0593) come with an offset output. This means that when mounted to a 2" tall box tube, the center of the SplineXL bore will be offset by 0.0625" from the centerline of the tube.

{% hint style="info" %}
This feature is only on the 2" tube configuration. The SplineXL output of all Clamping Bearing Blocks is centered for the 1" tube configuration.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.wcproducts.com/welcome/system-and-structure/bearing-blocks/general-info/splinexl-bearing-blocks.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
