# Mounting

The following examples illustrate some simple mounting solutions for the Ballast Blocks. These configurations are designed to simplify integration into a variety of robot designs.

## External Tube Mounting

The Ballast Block can be Externally Mounted using eight #10-32 x 1-1/4"L bolts threaded through a tube and into the Ballast Block. These holes follow the standard [1/2" Pitch Spacing](/welcome/frc-build-system/system-standards.md#id-1-2-pitch-spacing), making it a perfect fit for [Punched Tubing](/welcome/frc-build-system/system-standards.md#tubing) and other common FRC components and an easy addition to drivetrains.

## Internal Tube Mounting

The Ballast Block can be Internally Mounted using eight #10-32 x 1/2"L bolts threaded through a tube and into the Ballast Block.

The Ballast Blocks can also be simultaneously mounted both internally and externally on the same tub, as shown below.
