# Breaking Chain

The video guide below demonstrates how to use the WCP Chain Breaker to break chain.

### Step 1

Unscrew the Pin and Cup Screws to ensure that they will not be in the way of the chain placement.

### Step 2

Place the chain with the link that you will be breaking under the Pin Screw. Secure this in place by lightly tightening the Cup Screw.

Make sure the pins line up with the pin holes in the chain breaker and the chain lays flat on the tool.

### Step 3

Tighten the Pin Screw until it reaches the Hard Stop to press out the pin you want to remove.

Loosen the Pin and Cup Screw to be able to remove the chain.

If the pin did not get pushed out far enough, loosen the the Hard Stop screw 1/4 turn at a time until desired distance is reached or completely remove it to fully push out the Pin.
