Steps 1-7

Vibra-TITE VC-3 Threadmate (Vibra-TITE) is recommended on all bolts that thread into a tapped hole.

Step 1

Press the 1/2" Rounded Hex bearing into the Shooter Side Plate. Repeat this step for the other side. Be sure to press the bearing in from the opposite side so that the bearing flanges are on opposite sides of the plates.

Secure the bearing using a Bearing Retention Plate and a Bearing Roller Center Plate.

Step 2

Attach 1-1/4"L Nutstrips to the Shooter Side Plates from Step 1 using #10-32 x 3/8"L bolts. Repeat this step for the other side. Be sure to install the Nutstrips on opposite sides of the plates.

Step 3

Press the 1/2" Rounded Hex bearing into the Shooter Hood Plate. Repeat this step for the other side. Be sure to press the bearing in from the opposite side so that the bearing flanges are on opposite sides of the plates.

Secure the bearing using a Bearing Retention Plate and a Bearing Roller Center Plate.

The image below only shows the Right Configuration of the hood plate, the same applies to the Left configuration.

Step 4

Press two 7"L Standoffs into the Printed Sliding Hood.

Due to varying print settings, this standoff could be a press fit. In such case a dead blow hammer or arbor press can be used to install these standoffs.

The Printed Hood is not included with the GreyT Shooter. Teams must print this using their preferred settings.

The file below is for the default Linear Actuator Hood. Teams may choose to modify this as needed.

Step 5

Attach the Shooter Side Plates from Step 1 to the Printed Hood Slot using #10-32 x 3/4"L bolts and 7"L Standoffs.

The Printed Hood Slot is not included with the GreyT Shooter. Teams must print this using their preferred settings.

The file below is for the default Linear Actuator Hood Slot. Teams may choose to modify this as needed.

Step 6

Bolt the front of the Shooter together using the Standoff & Spacer stack up shown below.

Do not forget to install 3/4"L spacers between the 7"L Standoffs and Shooter Side Plates on one side.

Step 7

Attach the Hood Plates from Step 4 to the assembly from Step 6 using #10-32 x 1-1/4"L and 3/4"L Spacers.
