# Steps 9-13

{% hint style="success" %}
Vibra-TITE VC-3 Threadmate ([Vibra-TITE](https://wcproducts.com/products/threadlocker)) is recommended on all bolts that thread into a tapped hole.
{% endhint %}

## Step 9

For all configurations, the motors will be mounted to the Motor Spacer using #10-32 x 1/2”L bolts. The pinions are retained using #10-32 x 1/4”L pan head bolts.

Clock the motors in the desired direction in this step.

{% hint style="info" %}
For the Drive Pinion refer back to the [Ratio Options](/welcome/gearboxes/wcp-swerve-x2/general-info/ratio-options.md) page.

## Step 10

Install the Encoder Mount using two #10-32 x 1/2”L bolts. Remove the board from the case and fit it into the cutout in the 3D Printed Encoder Mount. Use the top half of the Encoder case and the long thread forming screw from the Encoder to attach the sensor.

## Step 11

Install the Drive and Rotation Motors using the #10-32 x 1/2"L bolts as shown below.

{% hint style="info" %}
The Drive Motor is mounted in the center for the picture below, for other mounting locations refer back to the [Motor Placement](/welcome/gearboxes/wcp-swerve-x2/overview-and-features/advanced-features.md#motor-placement) page.

## Step 12

{% hint style="info" %}
The Wheel Assemblies can be found using the links below.

[Molded Wheel](/welcome/gearboxes/wcp-swerve-x2/assembly-instructions/wheel-installation/molded-wheel.md), [Aluminum Wheel](/welcome/gearboxes/wcp-swerve-x2/assembly-instructions/wheel-installation/aluminum-wheel.md), [Colson Wheel](/welcome/gearboxes/wcp-swerve-x2/assembly-instructions/wheel-installation/colson-wheel.md)
{% endhint %}

When installing the Wheel Assembly, be sure the 45T Bevel Gear and 15T Bevel Gear are on the same side.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Before installing the wheel assembly, it is necessary to loosen the fork installed in Step 6 for the wheel to slide past the small bevel gear. We recommend loosening the Fork opposite the bevel gear.
{% endhint %}

## Step 13

Apply [Lucas Red "N" Tacky](https://www.lucasoil.com/product/red-n-tacky-grease/) grease to all gears after final assembly to ensure smooth operation and reduce wear during use. Once greased, rotate and spin the wheel to distribute the grease evenly before powering up.

After running gearbox for 15-30 minutes, reapply a light amount of grease. Reapply as needed.

## Corner Mounting

For more instructions regarding mounting the Corner Mount modules, see the [Corner Mounting](/welcome/gearboxes/wcp-swerve-x2/applications/corner-mounting.md) section.

{% hint style="info" %}
It is recommended to use either the Top or Bottom Support Plate to strengthen the corner of your frame.
