# Getting Started

## Assembly Prep

Refer back to the [Individual Components](/welcome/gearboxes/wcp-swerve-x/general-info/kit-contents/individual-components.md) page and ensure that all necessary parts are located before starting assembly steps.

#### Tools required for assembly:

These tools are required for the assembly of the WCP Swerve X

* Snap ring pliers (For 1/2" and 3/8" snap rings)
* Allen keys
  * 3/32"
  * 1/8"
  * 5/32"
* 7/16" Wrench

#### Optional tools that may be needed:

* Arbor press
* Deadblow hammer

Vibra-TITE VC-3 Threadmate ([Vibra-TITE](https://wcproducts.com/products/threadlocker)) is recommended on all bolts that thread into a tapped hole.

Apply [Lucas Red "N" Tacky](https://www.lucasoil.com/product/red-n-tacky-grease/) grease to all gears after final assembly to ensure smooth operation and reduce wear during use.
