# Getting Started

## Assembly Prep

Refer back to the [Individual Components](https://docs.wcproducts.com/welcome/gearboxes/wcp-ss-flipped-gearbox-single-speed-2-stages/general-info/individual-components) page and ensure that all necessary parts are located before starting assembly steps.

#### Tools Required For Assembly

These tools are required for the assembly of the WCP SS Flipped Gearbox (Single Speed, 2 Stages)

* Snap Ring Pliers (For 1/2" snaprings)
* Allen Keys
  * 1/8"

The gearbox should be assembled before installation, unless there is a space issue during installation that would prevent this.

Vibra-TITE VC-3 Threadmate ([Vibra-TITE](https://wcproducts.com/products/threadlocker)) is recommended on all bolts that thread into a tapped hole.

Apply [Lucas Red "N" Tacky](https://www.lucasoil.com/product/red-n-tacky-grease/) grease to all gears after final assembly to ensure smooth operation and reduce wear during use.
