# Step 1-6

{% hint style="success" %}
Vibra-TITE VC-3 Threadmate ([Vibra-TITE](https://wcproducts.com/products/threadlocker)) is recommended on all bolts that thread into a tapped hole.
{% endhint %}

## Step 1

Use the 1-1/8" Bearing Adapter to install the 1/2" ID x 1-1/8" OD Flanged Bearing into the Motor Plate.

## Step 2

Use the 1-1/8" Bearing Adapter to install the 1/2" Rounded Hex ID x 1-1/8" OD Flanged Bearing into the Front Plate.

<figure><img src="https://3455897954-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZVATGsFDvQdM4toGvLK7%2Fuploads%2Fdbzs8mVxi2ndz3pwRwOa%2FSingle%20Stage%20-%20Step%202.svg?alt=media&#x26;token=94709cd5-ea17-4d50-9a96-1971c43bd54a" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Step 3

Install the WCP Output Shaft, 1/2" Acetal Spacer, and Driven Gear as shown below.

<figure><img src="https://3455897954-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZVATGsFDvQdM4toGvLK7%2Fuploads%2Ft9mseHfRrThKq3GxGPAk%2FSingle%20Stage%20-%20Step%203.svg?alt=media&#x26;token=7809b28e-30ef-47a8-8ecd-d73d79b9d48e" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Step 4

Bolt the two halves of the Gearbox together using the #10-32 x 1-1/2"L bolts and 1-1/8"L spacers.

<figure><img src="https://3455897954-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZVATGsFDvQdM4toGvLK7%2Fuploads%2FvK50WqITNhFgTTR1RqZr%2FSingle%20Stage%20-%20Step%204.svg?alt=media&#x26;token=c6d0664b-5bb1-47b1-8660-56828cf60f2e" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Step 5

The Kraken X60 Motor is installed using two #10-32 x 1/2"L bolts.

Repeat this step for both motors.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you are using a pinion that is 12T or smaller, the pinion can be installed on the motor output shaft before the motor is installed in the gearbox. Any bigger than 12T, and the pinion will have to be installed after the motor is bolted to the Motor Plate.

## Step 6&#x20;

Apply [Lucas Red "N" Tacky](https://www.lucasoil.com/product/red-n-tacky-grease/) grease to all gears after final assembly to ensure smooth operation and reduce wear during use. Once greased, spin the Output Shaft to distribute the grease evenly before powering up.

After running gearbox for 15-30 minutes, reapply a light amount of grease. Reapply as needed.
