# Flipped PowerPole Adapter Board

## Kraken X60 Powered by TalonFX Flipped PowerPole Adapter Board ([Product Page](https://wcproducts.com/products/kraken.))

The Kraken X60 Powered by TalonFX Flipped PowerPole Adapter Board was designed in a collaboration between WCP and Vivid-Hosting. The connector board allows teams to easily connectorize the power and CAN screw terminals on the back of the Talon FX. This helps simplify wiring and facilitates faster motor swaps. Its flipped, low-profile design helps minimize the space required behind the motor, making it well suited for compact mechanisms where clearance is limited.

In addition, one of the connectors outputs power and CAN, allowing you to power a CAN based sensor like a CANcoder.

## CAN Wiring

There are multiple options for connecting CAN to the Kraken X60 Powered by TalonFX PowerPole Adapter Board. The following are some examples.

### Mating Connectors

### Daisy Chaining

All CAN connections on the adapter board are directly connected to the screw terminals on the TalonFX. You want to have one CAN wire in and one CAN wire out.

### Daisy Chaining with CANcoder

{% hint style="info" %}
Any combination of the CAN ports can be used for the connections into and out of Adapter Boards.

### Daisy Chaining with CANcoder Stub

{% hint style="warning" %}
The stub length for the CANcoder should be 12" or less. Make as short as possible.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Any combination of the CAN ports can be used for the connections into and out of Adapter Boards.

No terminating resistor is needed after the CANcoder.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.wcproducts.com/welcome/electronics/kraken-x60/accessories/flipped-powerpole-adapter-board.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
