Q: Is the Hard Stop removable?

A: Yes, the Hard Stop can be removed if complete pin removal is required.

Q: Will this tool work with both #25 and #35 chain?

A: The Chain Breaker is available in 3 styles that can either manipulate #25 or #35 Chain respectively, or the Combo Chain Breaker that can manipulate both #25 and #35 Chain.

Q: What happens if the Pin Screw Breaks?

A: The Pin Screw can break through heavy use or misalignment. Replacement Pin Screw Sets can be purchased for the #25 Chain Breaker (WCP-1184) and the #35 Chain Breaker (WCP-1185).

Q: Can I break/connect chain while it is installed on a robot?

A: Yes, the Chain Breaker Tool can be used on installed chain, provided there’s enough space to position the tool properly and align it with the chain pin.

Common Issues

Issue: The Pin was not pressed far enough out.

Possible Solutions:

  • Make sure that you are tightening the Pin Screw until it reaches the Hard Stop.

  • Loosen the Hard Stop to push the pin out further.
